During the past three years of my life, I have been working more on artforms. Most (if not all of it), now revolves around computer generated images. Originally it was a small interest in seeing what I could make with one program. After a while I discovered Blender, and recently I have been experimenting with using Blender, and then touchups with the GIMP. It is interesting to create one image, and then rework it with another.

Blender

Blender is one of a few tools I use to make my computer art. I discovered this around 2 years ago, during a irc session, to find some free tools for making CG. Off and on for this past while I have been working with blender, I have been improving my skills with it. For now it's a passion/bobby, that may someday become a passion/career. It's a very interesting way to express myself, but it's not the only way. Below are some tables with all of my computer graphics that I have made over the past few years. I find computer graphics to be a interesting medium to express myself in, and in allot of ways easier (and cheaper), then real world mediums. Allot of things in my life have inspire me to make these pictures, most of the time though it's my wild imagination that fuels it.

The GIMP

I have been using linux for about 3-4 years, soon after I discovered linux I started experimenting with the GIMP. The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), most of the time it was messing around, about a year ago I started using to make images for my website. Recently, I have been using to touch up scanned images, digital photos, and express myself in 2 dimensional ways as well. Plus I find it is a very good companion to Blender, and I would recommend it to anyone, who is interesting in a free, and powerful program for image work.

Explanation

Genomes is a online comic/movie I am currently working on. I discovered online comics a long time ago (www.userfriendly.org), but only till recently have I noticed there are allot of them out there (see Library >> Online Comics). A while ago (during one of my late night sessions), I started working on a character. Just some small odd looking thing, eventually I made a few more, and a couple of vehicles. Then I started thinking of actually making my own online comic, I have noticed that they are done in a variety of ways; ink, block style, colors, or just plain greyscale. The way I am making mine is not going to be any of those types, I decided that if I am going to do this it will be in a 3D CG (computer graphics) way. Below is the first character Pierre, enjoy.
